“What mom taught” is a project about Vietnamese idioms/proverbs, inspired by my mother. Through this project, I challenged myself on another level as most of these sentences are quite long and forced me to find a way to both express emotions through words and bring overall harmony to the structure of the sentence.
Growing up among my mothers proverb treasures, I hope to bring back the importance and the beauty of Vietnamese literature and language. My goal through this project is to connect, communicate and light up people who have been struggling, experiencing these phrases in different contexts.
